In Detail
Kitchen - well equipped with usual appliances, e.g. dishwasher, microwave etc. Nespresso machine and a cafetière. Access to rear gardens - one of four doors to the property (two front, two rear), so you are never far from the wonderful outside space and fields. Cegin Fawr - traditional ingle-nook room with dining area - large country table sits 8 easily. Dresser etc. Lounge with contemporary wood burner, and direct access to the front and rear gardens. The first basket of logs is supplied. TV (not smart enabled) & DVD player. Sofa and tub chairs, stairs up to croglofft over. Bathroom and toilet to ground floor (bath, no shower). Small 'Utility' area with washing machine and dryer. Master bedroom (up steep stairs, gated at top), double bed (great mattress) etc with en-suite shower-room off (chrome heated towel rail etc). Large shower cubicle. Croglofft bedroom (up steep stairs, gated at top, low headroom in parts) - best suited to kids, this has two good single beds, and overlooks the main lounge via a balcony. Good quality mattresses. Centrally heated throughout (Carbon Neutral eco-heating system), with underfloor heating Note that there are steep open-tread stairs up to both bedrooms (gated at top), so this cottage won't be suitable for the infirm. This house is semi-detached with Trehilyn Uchaf, and if they are taken together an internal door between the kitchens can be opened to use them as one house. Outside:
- Small front garden
- Large rear garden shared with Trehilyn Uchaf
- 70 acres of farmland (keep dogs on lead around sheep). Nature walk (enclosed from livestock) along stream to far end of the farm and a ruined cottage.
- Small 'honesty' shop for essentials
- Table tennis in barn
- Small shared playground area with swing and slide for young children (enjoyed at own risk)
- 2 x type 2 electric car chargers (shared among the 7 Trehilyn properties)

Lovely stay, all what we needed, hoping to return! Great location and plenty to do in the surrounding area too
Bethan B,

Had a fantastic time in the beautiful and authentic cottage. The area is breathtaking it was just such a shame we had to leave early due to a family emergency. Hope to return one day.

Loved the cottage. Warm and comfortable even with Hurricane Amy raging over the weekend. Great wood burner for cosy evenings after bracing walks and local visits.
