A Teach Dearg (The Red House) is a contemporary home that echoes the Donegal vernacular traditions through a modernist interpretation of the cottage form. It sits just a 6-minute drive from one of the most celebrated beaches in Ireland, Narin/Portnoo, and has direct private shore access onto Lough Fad, where you may swim or use the very simple rustic sauna that comes with the house.
The house features a minimalist, almost Nordic-feeling interior with three well-sized bedrooms and two genuinely luxurious bathrooms. Days out will include the many pristine beaches that the area is famous for, Glenveagh National Park, and Slieve League sea cliffs. You can walk to the pub, and there’s a choice of food and drink down in the village, just 6 minutes (2 miles) away.

Bethan B,

Fantastic weekend away to a beautiful home, in peaceful surroundings. The place was spotless and really spacious for the whole family. Selection of board games available for my kids to play and a lovely welcome pack with tea and coffee to enjoy (and the kids loved the Easter egg treat!). We felt right at home. We had some lovely runs and walks up to Bonny Glen and the nearby beach was just beautiful. Would highly recommend for a peaceful getaway! Sinead

An Teach Dearg is a lovely property, tucked away on a very quiet rural road. The beaches in the area are truly special. While Donegal is blighted by many ugly one-off houses, this property is an exception and blends in beautifully to the vernacular architecture of a rural farm.
