A respite from the modern world, this is a simple, delightful retreat.
This modern rustic property is unlike anything you'll find through your average holiday cottage agency. It is exactly what 'Under The Thatch' is all about - simple, rustic, and authentic, private...and very comfortable.
Originally built from local materials in an old-fashioned way, in just one night this is a typical croglofft cottage – an open-plan living space with a sleeping loft over.
We're delighted to be agents for this peaceful, tranquil place.

We spent a glorious week in June in this beautiful and very special cottage. Its private, peaceful rural location offers a wonderful retreat from everyday life, yet the stunning Pembrokeshire and Cardigan coastlines – with draws like Tenby, Mwnt and the extraordinary Barafundle Bay – are within easy reach by car. The cottage itself is a stunning restoration with simple, stylish furnishings, soft linen bedding and gentle underfloor heating, making it a calming, comfortable place to relax. Guests also have use of a wonderful five-acre meadow, accessed through the garden gate. Dorian, the owner and restorer, is a truly lovely man who came by to ensure everything was OK and share tips on places to visit (thank you for everything, Dorian). There is no wi-fi at Ty Unnos and life is all the better for it. We enjoyed waking to the joyous song of nesting wrens and morning meadow walks with our (very happy) dog. Bring a blanket for picnics or reading under a tree, and watch for red kites, bats and spectacular starry skies.

We loved our stay at Ty Unnos. What a delight to wake with a Teletubby sunrise just over the hill each morning. A stunning renovation, dressed beautifully with local artwork, handmade cushions. The track actually isn’t that bumpy, and ‘What3words’ got us there easily. Hopefully will return - the cottage is perfectly placed to explore this much loved part of West Wales.
